You finally made it. Everything else in your life is well taken care of, the house is very nice, your garage does the job, just as your current car. Then it comes time for you to give yourself a gift and upgrade to a nicer car: an Aston Martin, Lamborghini, or a Rolls Royce.
As you look again to your old garage, is it worthy of hosting your new car? Could you perhaps have a car elevator garage installed?
The garage is the newest place where luxury is finding its space. Some people want more space for their cars; others want a better space for their current fleet. Regardless, here are some items you may want to consider when adding a new custom luxury garage to your home.
First of all, you have to decide whether you want to tear down your existing garage and add a new one. If you have the money and the space, it is the best solution. Your new problem will be finding somewhere to park your cars while your garage is being rebuilt.
The greatest advantage of building a new garage from scratch is the possibility to build vertically. Instead of wasting precious land, you can effectively double the amount of parked cars in the same number of car bays. All you have to do is to excavate your floors, raise the ceilings, and install a floor platform that can be lowered or elevated like a lift. From the outside it will look like a two-car garage with high ceilings, but you will actually have four cars stored there. Add a proper lighting design and you will end up with a great personal showcase.
Other than lighting, remember you can add other details such as floor mats, white epoxy flooring, cabinets and shelving, temperature control, wood paneling, doors, and so on. You can even add light strips on the floors to show you where to park your car, as in the airports. You might as well add all the infrastructure needed to wash you car inside your garage and easily clean it all up afterwards.
Depending on how much space you have available, you might even be able to add an office there, so you can work at home and admire your cars at the same time. Perhaps an entertainment center so you can watch sports with your friends there as well.
Some car elevator garage go the complete opposite way and feature a very basic, minimalist, and white style. The main goal is to highlight the cars as the main stars there.
